On our way to Germany

I got called this morning that my mom, mother in law and I will be flying to Germany today.  Our flight leaves at 12:45pm and we will arrive in Germany on Saturday at 7:40am.  I will try to keep you updated while I'm there with Rob's condition.  He will be flying back to the states either Sunday or Tuesday.

I was made aware of your blog through Paige and I would like you to know I'll be praying for all of you in the coming days and months. I'll also be getting the word out to people I know to include Rob in their prayers. You will need strength and support and I hope I can provide a tiny bit of that with good thoughts and prayers from strangers for you and your family.

Please know that you all are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. If there's anything at all that you need, please let us know.

Hi Dena and all the Yllescas Family,

I just spoke with you yesterday and here we are now working to get your Mom on flights with you and your Mother-in-Law bringing y'all to Rob's bedside in Germany. You are a courageous young woman who will be critical in your husband's recovery and there are many folks who will try to help along the way.
Please know that I will be praying for Rob, you, your dear little girls and all of those who love and care for your family. There are so many people who are awaiting you and Rob returning to DC to be able to reach out to help and we will be right there to do whatever we can as this long and challenging journey moves along. You are strong and making very difficult, but wise, decisions already and I know Rob will be surrounded by so much love and care once you get here.
Travel safely today as you make your way to Rob,

Dear Dena & Family,

I am so sorry that this happened to your family! My family will be praying for you non-stop. I have asked Unity to also pray for Rob and your family. I hope you know how grateful we are for the sacrifices your husband and all service men and women have made so my family can live in peace and freedom.

Our son and Ryan Kules went to elementary school together, so of course we followed his and Nancy's journey through his injury. I am so grateful that they can be there for you, the way you were there for them.

I know that God can see you through this with the help of your family and friends.

Even though I don't know you personally, I hope you can feel the care and concern I am sending your way.

Dena,

You are very much in my thoughts and prayers. I wanted to let you know before you left that I would be thinking of you and praying for you during your long flight (which, by the way, I think deserves a first class seat).

Words cannot describe how grateful that Tim and I are for friends like you and Rob. We will do anything in the world we can to help you through all of this. I am so incredibly proud of you, Dena, and the way that you have handled oall of this. I know there is a rough road ahead, but you are showing Rob (and all of us) that the power of love can give strenth that we never knew we had. Above all else, I think Rob will be proud of you.

Take care of yourself Dena, and try to get some rest. Hang in there!

I am a friend of Nancy's and I just want you to know you are thought of and prayed for. I know Nancy and her family went through so much when Ryan was injured... but everything has turned out okay. I pray that the same will happen for you and that you will have YOUR Rob to talk with again soon. Be patient and strong. Let others help you, so that you can help Rob. Remember you are a strong woman and mother and nothing is impossible with faith and love. Turn to the Lord when it is too much to carry, He will strengthen you and guide you. I'm so sorry that you have to go through all of this, but everything we experience can teach us and help us grow if we stay positive. If I can offer a piece of advice I would say to write. Get a little journal and record what's happening, and your thoughts. Some of the most difficult times in life are also the times we learn the most. Stay close to the spirit.
