Rob's Oil Painting

Here is the oil painting I was telling you about.  I know many of you wanted to see a picture of it.  I've also included the actual photograph the artist used for the painting.  Now you can understand what I meant when I said I was floored!  He did an absolutely amazing job.  Project Compassion is a wonderful foundation.  Their work means so much to people like myself.  It is something that will always be cherished.

Thanks for sharing with us, Dena! The artist did truly do a remarkable job! You will treasure it always. It's so good to know you are moving forward in such positive ways--your counseling, your new home, and allowing yourself to have some fun even though I'm sure there are days you just don't feel like it. You are doing a great job of healing for yourself and your girls. I think of you so often and really look forward to your updates. The next few weeks will be pretty busy with getting the house ready, packing, and moving, but it will be good for you to be in your own home with your own things. Take care and hang in there--know much love and many prayers are yours every day! Love and prayers......Jackie and Joe

Dena, the picture is wonderful. I know you will cherish it. I had seen on TV a story about this group and the paintings they are sending to families. I don't comment often Dena, but I like reading your posts and knowing how you are doing. My prayers are with you and the girls. Betty Palmer, Keya Paha County

I watched a special on this project and their work is amazing. You'll have Rob in a painting forever along w/ your memories and love in your heart. You and girls will always be in our prayers and over time the hurt will lighten. His memory will never be forgotten but you'll be able to find happiness w/ the girls and look to the future w/ hope.

Dena,
The beautiful picture will be so important for you and the girls as you continue on with your life; Use Robs love and memory to build on as the foundation of your future. As another army wife my heart bleeds for you and your girls.......I will always pray for your family; for peace, for love, and for happiness. I am amazed at your strength.......although I know you don't want to have to be strong......so please remember our prayers on days you need an extra boost.......

My 3 daughters and I are lucky enough to continue to wait for my husband to return from Afghanistan...I know how blessed we are; your sacrafice, and Robs sacrafice will never be forgotten...

With Love and Care from another army wife and mom.....
